3 Day - Xela to Lake Atitlan Hike

An amazing off the beaten path hike from Xela to beautiful Lake Atitlan. We pick you up from your hotel or host family at 6am, come to the office for The first day after a short drive from Xela we hike up through a forest slope to a grasslands plateau, passing through cornfields, and remove villages accessible only by foot, where we spend the night we a local family (the homestays are very basic, we sleep on the floor with a pad and sleeping bag, which we bring from Xela). The next day we pass through 2 remote river valleys, coffee farms and cloud forest and spend the night in a village overlooking Lake Atitlan. After watching an early morning sunrise over the lake we hike down to the lake passing through San Juan la Laguna and ending in San Pedro at approx. 10:30am. After lunch we pick you up and bring you back to Xela or you can continue your travels and we will bring your luggage to San Pedro.
